Our Story:

Novel Tea Book Shop began as a pop-up stand at local markets—an idea sparked by founder Stephanie Gonter’s desire to honor her late father’s love of reading and build something rooted in community. That idea found a home in 2023 when local artist Angel Lowden invited Stephanie to bring her vision to life inside The Studio, Angel’s vibrant art gallery and boutique.

Together, they created more than a bookstore. They built a collaborative space where books, art, and tea intertwine—a welcoming, creative sanctuary in the heart of Ormond Beach. Soon after, they co-founded The Creative Chapter, a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing literacy, artistic expression, and community connection through book clubs, art classes, and creative programs for all ages.

Our Cafe’s Menu offers a variety of loose leaf teas, lattes, coffee & specialty beverages that pair perfectly with our lunch & baked goods selections..

From local authors and art walks to book clubs and bite-sized masterpieces, we’re proud to be the general store for creatives where creativity steep and stories thrive.
